My Thankful Thoughts by Ciara Jordan
I am telling you about my thankful thoughts.
First, I am thankful I have a home to live in. I'm thankful for a home because I don't have to live out on the streets.
Second, I am thankful for a family because I don't have to live in a foster home.
Third, I'm thankful for money and to have someone to love me. So I can have a home, buy things that are needed in my life, and to give a little to the poor.
Last I am thankful for a bathroom, so I don't have to go on the street or behind a tree or in a bush.
This is what I am thankful for.

Very sweet & honest. I am grateful for bathrooms too!
When I worked with second grade kids one of the boys said he was thankful for Led Zeppelin. He even put this on a "thankful plate" that was sent off to be baked on so it can be used. I tried talking him out of it and even called his mom before letting it go.......mom okayed it. When pressed further about his thankfulness......he said "Mom and dad know that I am thankful for them. That is a given. I wanted to declare something I'm thankful for that not everyone already knew"
